West Scarborough Rail Trail Motion Passed December 17 City Council

The motion by Councillor Parthi Kandavel to advance the West Scarborough Rail Trail was PASSED on December 17, 2025 at Toronto City Council. This is a big step forward towards the realization of the WSRT. The motion calls for city staff to do a 10% design plan and cost estimate for the WSRT. It also requires the TTC and City Transportation to include the WSRT in any expansion plans at Warden Station. Thanks to all the community support, the leadership of Councillor Parthi Kandavel, the hard work of his staff and the support of 20 city councillors!
